As a hotel in South Tyrol that consciously embraces sustainable structures, we ensure responsible resource management, promote regional cycles, and design our processes to be long-term sustainable.
Quality, comfort, and enjoyment are paired with mindful use of energy, water, and food. Our goal is to offer a sustainable holiday in South Tyrol that feels harmonious – without any compromises in your stay.
We continuously question and improve our processes, focusing on practical solutions and ongoing development.
We cook fresh daily, primarily using regional ingredients. Food is carefully processed and utilized as fully as possible.
Our offerings are complemented by wines from our own Loacherhof estate and other local products.
For us, key factors are quality, seasonality, short supply chains, and collaboration with local producers.
This helps us avoid transportation and retain control over washing processes, detergents, and wash cycles. We use only ecologically certified products.
In daily cleaning, we also opt for eco-friendly cleaning agents and mindful water use. Cleanliness and comfort remain a priority.
A portion of our energy needs is met by our 89 kW photovoltaic system installed on-site.
For environmentally conscious mobility, we provide charging stations for electric cars and e-bikes.
We are happy to assist our guests in exploring the region on foot, by bike, or using public transportation.
We are bee sponsors and collaborate with a local beekeeping business.
Products from this, such as honey, are also featured on our breakfast buffet.
Since 2025, Stachelburg has been awarded the IDM Sustainability Label for SMEs (Level 2).
The entire process is independently verified and regularly improved.
Our guests can also contribute to a sustainable holiday in South Tyrol through small, mindful decisions – such as voluntarily reusing towels and bed linens.
Our goal remains clear: As a sustainable hotel in South Tyrol, we create conditions that enable responsible actions without sacrificing comfort or enjoyment.
Waste reduction, recycling, and responsible material use go hand in hand for us.
We make conscious purchasing decisions, reduce packaging where possible, and separate recyclables throughout the operation.
We avoid plastic where practicable and opt for durable alternatives.
Our principle: choose carefully, use long-term, and repair instead of replacing quickly.
We also intentionally reduce single-use products.
For example, we no longer provide disposable slippers and ask our guests to bring their own.
