Of course, you can also decide to plunge into the indoor pool, after all, relaxation has many facets and you can enjoy several of them at das stachelburg.

Refreshing waters

What a feeling it is to dive into our indoor pool and give your tired legs a break after a breathtaking day in the mountains around Merano and the region* … but of course you can also swim a few lengths or simply let yourself drift in the water and enjoy the revitalising tingle on your skin.

* Gentle swimming is also said to work wonders the day after hiking if you notice a little sore muscles.

Is the wellness area at Hotel das stachelburg peaceful?

The wellness area is designed for tranquillity: light-filled relaxation rooms with garden view, waterbeds and comfortable loungers invite you to unwind. Between the sauna and pool you will find your place of endless relaxation.

Is there a pool with a view at the hotel?

Yes, the light-flooded indoor pool at 28°C is directly connected to the garden. There is also a heated outdoor whirlpool and a lawn with mountain view—perfect bathing pleasure with a panoramic backdrop.

Which saunas are available?

You will find a classic Finnish sauna at 80–100°C, a soothing steam sauna at 40–50°C and 100% humidity, and a mild bio sauna at 45–60°C. Regular infusions and peelings complete the offer.

Is the sauna area textile-free?

The sauna area is textile-free and reserved for guests aged 16 and over. Younger guests can use the pool and whirlpool.

What are the pool and sauna opening times?

The sauna is open in spring and autumn from 2:00pm to 7:00pm and in summer from 3.00pm to 7.00pm; longer opening on request. The indoor pool is available daily from 6:00am to 8:00pm.
