Rablà The village on the Via Claudia Augusta

Just below Parcines/Partschins lies the village of Rablà/Rabland at an elevation of 1,342 m. Surrounded by wide orchards, Rablà is situated along the part of the ancient Roman trading route known as the Via Claudia Augusta following the Adige River.

Among the historical buildings lining the narrow streets in the old village center, is the 16th Century St. Jakobus Gothic Church. But for the kids, the main attraction has to be the Train Museum. Junior enthusiasts huddle around and even get to drive a scale model train set in a miniature landscape of South Tyrol.
